It is M4400 related,I posted Dell's and my recommendation for screen cleaning, and then had to read rambling replies, quote after quote after multiquote after self quote after irrelevant link's on how water is terribad....despite the "FACT" that it's a dell recommendation.
Don't tell me you have moderator aspiration's for this forum or something dude?
It's hardly worse than the usual "what memory should I buy" or "is the RGB glossy or matt" for the 20th time, when it come's to boring anybody to death,is it?

    Wow,that is bizzare

@spanyid,maybe you should email a link to the dell tech to this video of magudaman's,I get the feeling they think your talking about reflection's? pretty strange design function.....I wonder what that function actually is lol

You might just have to ring them an order a couple, dell used to give spare one's with their notebook's,but must be saving money on them now day's,I also need to get one as I removed mine because my fat finger's used to hit it all the time and I've lost it.

Yah after your comment I called in this (instead of chat) and spoke to a rep (USA based. AWESOME!) and he said that they are working with the manufacture to fix this problem.

Wow, who pissed in your coffee this morning? I've read many of your earlier posts, and you seem like a nice and genuinely helpful guy. Now here you may have been trying to be helpful, telling us what you and Dell recommend, but I must say you're being rather rash and abrasive. Since your disagreements seem to be with people rather than the arguments, why don't you try taking it up with them in a more private setting? (Like a private message.)

Come now, a lounge is a place to relax, not to get all riled up.

These "fixes" will never happen anytime soon.

It's called TRACKPOINT. Call the buisness-support and they will usually send you a few new ones for free.

Hopefully they will let us know when they fix and then repair ours with out us chasing them. Have found speaking to the live techs a lot more productive and getting things done faster

    Yes,seriously weird issue,it seem's from what you are saying,dell think's it's not worthwhile
just swapping the screen like they normally would with a faulty screen ?

I see what you did there;)
I know you don't,wanted to poke you anyway:p

Not riled up,I've found the whole thing extremely funny actually,it's called "mickey taking".
Can't think of better way to treat such a ridiculously stupid debate.
If you find it offensive, may I suggest you don't partake in it,
    or pm like you said:)

Having a problem with my M4400 (x64, quad core, 8 gb). I recently added an eSATA drive from acom, which works very well, except that occasionally I'll get a Stop 0x00009086 blue screen, with no stack trace or memory dump. I'm pretty sure it is related to the disk drivers, and am up on the latest Intel drivers for the Matrix Storage Manager.

    Any ideas?
    TIA
