You can drop a blu-ray into the M4400... but the cheapest burner I've found is $700... That would be really nice for back-ups, but $700 + cost of discs is significantly more than a pair of 1TB drives (for redundancy).

Blu-ray is already available for the M4400, just call Dell when you want to order to get all the available options.

?? €700 would easily get me 3 WB 1TB Home Editions.

Oops.. I typed that backwards... I meant to say the Blu-ray is way more expensive since 2 1TB drives would only cost about $200...

    Thanks DogEarz!
I checked all the Event Viewer logs after the crash and nothing is out of the ordinary, certainly nothing so serious as to cause the crash.

Ive had this problem as well. Everything up to date here. No solution but it happens so rarely Ive not begun a hunt for one seriously.

I can tell you it's an X problem...it's not identifying the vid card correctly. I can tell you Slackware and Ubuntu will run perfect on it. You'll have to manually configure X, i.e. for PCLOS I had to select for the driver, "card for which nv driver does not work" this was with X config from the console...then it came up and I installed latest Nvidia driver no prob...check Suse forums I guess. I had same problem with OpenSuse but didn't pursue it.

Hey guys, I have a problem getting my BlueTooth Motorola S9 to pair with my M4400... does this laptop have a reputation for BlueTooth compatibility?
