I ordered mine 10 Days ago. Then it took 4 days for my money to get to dell, 2 days production, the rest is shipping.

Yeah the 3DMark06 score was for Vista 64bit 1440x900, and lv2g drivers made it worse (not sure that I used them properly though).

Some power adapter pics next to the M4400 and DVD case.
Can someone tell me how to reduce the size of pictures in the posting options, without reducing the size/res on photobucket,so I don't keep expanding the page width.....thanks

You can't. Upload them to imageshack.us and choose the Resize for forum option.

    Ello everyone!

Just ordered mine today and thought i'd join to thank everyone here for all the topics 'bout the m4400.
At first i was kinda waiting for more options on the hp 8530w and the Celsius h265/270 but i'm definetly convinced the m4400 is the right choice for me. I think i've read up on just about everything anywhere on the net and i have to say the topics here reeeeelly helped.

    Here's my specs:

    Precision M4400 : Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 (2.8GHz,1066MHz,6MB)
Base Option : Discrete nVidia FX770M Graphics Card (with 512MB dedicated memory)
Display : 15.4in Widescreen WUXGA (1920X1200) with Dual CCFL
Palmrest : UPEK Swipe Fingerprint Reader Biometric
Camera : No Camera with Microphone for 2CCFL LCD Panel
LCD Back Cover : Black Finish with 2CCFL
    Documentation : Dutch Shipping Docs
Resource DVD : Mobile Precision M4400 Diagnostics and Drivers
    Memory : 4096MB (2x2048) 800MHz DDR2 Dual Channel
Hard Drive : 250GB Serial ATA (7200RPM) Hard Drive (Free fall sensor)
Optical Drive : Roxio Creator 9.0 including software
Optical Drive : 8X DVD+/-RW Drive no software
    Battery : Primary 6-cell 56 W/HR LI-ION
Wireless : EMEA Intel Pro Wireless 5300 (802.11a/g/ Draft-n 3x3) MiniCard for Centrino 2 Label
    Keyboard : Internal US-Int Qwerty Backlit Keyboard 1 S
Operating System : Dutch Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 (64Bit OS) Recovery CD not included
OS Media : Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 (64Bit) Recovery DVD

A good advice for anyone who finds options missing and/or incompatibility warning in the online configurator.....just give the sales guys a call....the configurator here doesn't show the 1920x1200 2ccfl screen, the backlit keyboard and tells me x64 isnt compatible with the DVD+/-RW.....all no prob after a call :D....

AND....i've read about dell asking to much money for extra RAM and larger HDD's and the deal i got now is actually cheaper than buying all the stuff aftermarket!! :D

I will definetly post pics etc. when delivered....that's the only downside though....expected delivery date is 17-10-2008!!! :(

    Thx again!!

Thanks for the pictures Weegie. Is it heavy at all? Size-wise it looks reasonable.
