There are offices but they will only tell you they don't deal with support issues.

And yes I am not even using the notebook now.. not because its not a good notebook because it is. I just feel a bit resentful.

Then again there are more important things in life.. have to look at it that way :(

I don't have time to argue with Dell, it's really eating into my work time. I just vow never to buy another thing from them and to always advise friends and family to steer well clear.

    dear all

I have ordered a vostro 1710 in the uk. its says on the order confirmation and screenshot 8600mgt but only a GS is installed. I am on the phone with them now for 45min but they are still discussing it. Can someone send me their evidence on it. If they dont replace it I will send them a letter to their head office.

ask them for a discount off the pc as you didnt get what you asked for, they should do something or say you want a refund.

usually they offer you a 10% extra discount over everything as they dont want you to return it so they have to restock, resell etc.

if they sent you an email with your invoice stating it was a GT, you can use that. but honestly i don't think it will get you very far except to show you were mislead. i would just call them back and tell them you are returning it because of the website error and fish for anything compensatory. if they don't relent make good on it and send it back and your money at a better company.

Why does he want you to send proof? Looks like DELL don’t have / sell GTs anymore, if that the case then I dont see what that guy can do.... The way I see it, the only thing you can do is cancel the order (if it hasn’t already been shipped) or return it for a refund.

dell UK still tells me that it's a gt installed in there, it's the drivers that's causing the problem.
I am so SICK of them now.

LOL drivers causing the problem. you should record that conversation and play it back to them when they start telling you the truth!

I think you guys are legally entitled to compensation or full refund on your orders. This could go to court and Dell could be sued for falsely advertising their laptops. It would greatly help also if they lied to you like told you it was a driver problem!
