sorry but it just looks to me that you're trying to minimize Dell's error by suggesting the cards in question somehow perform equally. the fact is they don't if you check the their 3DMark06 scores, the GT w/ ddr2 far outperforms the GS with ddr3. there really isn't any question, the GT has double the number of shaders and will always be better than a GS even with slower ddr2 memory.

the fact is he paid for a card advertised by Dell and received something inferior.

I dont know what the GT is worth.
It was advertised as a free upgrade.

I've argued and argued on the phone 3 times a day. They can not speak English, they do not put me through to anyone who can.
Maybe it is different in the Northern Hemisphere but from where i am it is like talking to a brick wall.

    Can't they?

Two of us have been told that its a misprint and there are no GT's. It is very likely you will get the GS whether you wait to see what you're getting or find out from them first. At least you will be prepared, unlike us ;)

i'd just return it and shop around for something else, if circumstance allowed.

if this happened to me i don't think i could look at it, never mind use it, daily without feeling resent & shame from getting stuck with it.
