shaders would be more or less the same thing yes, and yes 16 would confirm it's a GS and i'm not sure about the price difference, but the preformance diff is pretty noticeable.

Dell and their incompetence, how sad man, I feel for you.
This should never happen to anyone, yell at them like crazy or something, idk.

    I have a 1710 not a 1530.

I called them tonight and got their Malaysian/Indian/Chinese/timbuktu call center person reading from a script like a robot. They insisted if the invoice says GT then I have a GT. She then said she will assign a case number to it and have it investigated but can not promise when it will be resolved.
I can not argue with a robot, it is like a brick wall.
During business hours tomorrow I will be demanding to speak with a person higher up IN AUSTRALIA. If that fails I will have no hesitation in going to the head Dell office here with printed evidence of their incompetence as stated by so many of their customers.

Im actually going to ask for a refund because as a matter principal, I do not want to give my money to Dell regardless of how good their laptops are.
The only way that Dell will ever feel the pinch is if people BOYCOTT them. Whilst they are still making sales, they will see no reason to improve their service. If sales stop they might sit up and see why.

Will they give a refund without argument or is that wishful thinking?

Oh my apologies, I read wrong. Still, I have the same issue which is 3DMark reporting a GS. However, in my case, the device manager and GPU-Z are clearly reporting a GT.
