My recent Dell notebooks (E7440, E7450 & E5570) have all had batteries with, from new, the fully charge capacity significantly below the design value - on the E5570 it is 77,509mWh / 83,905mWh. I wonder whether this is by design to reduce the wear which happens when the battery is charged to its true full capacity or maybe I've been consistently unlucky.

I just noticed that sometimes the battery is charged up to 103%. So it might just be the battery report that's a bit off.

I'm considering getting E7470 . Can't tell if the laptops here in Israel come with NVME SSD or M2 -
    probably M2. the specs are
    I5-6300U, 14 inch FullHD , 8GB, 256GB SSD, LKB, 4cell
But I have no idea whether adding a 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD would be possible in that config. (battery too big?)
Also, does anyone have any experience with running 2 SSD drives inside, one on the WWAN port...?

Unless you see it say 'Class 40' on there, I would bet you don't get a NVMe drive.
Battery size won't have anything to do with it. The SSDs are the same form factor.
Have not tried to put in a second SSD, I don't think it would fit. As I recall the WWAN port is pretty short.

Would you guys recommend using the dell command app to update the drivers? Is it going to install a bunch of bloatware?

No bloat at all. I will install an OS, get a network driver installed, then install Dell Command Update and do the full driver catalog install. It only does drivers and works great. Also routinely run it on my server, desktop, laptops, etc.

Can anyone confirm I would be able to install NVMe SSD in the M2 slot?

I ordered my Latitude E7470 with the 512GB NVMe SSD. I got a LiteOn CX2-8B512-Q11 SSD instead of the Samsung PM951 that others have been reporting. I can confirm that it is only operating at x2 speed even though LiteOn lists it as an x4 drive.

Also, I tend to use the right most part of the left trackpoint button. It feels and sounds like it clicked, but it doesn't register a click about 1/3 of the time. If I mash it or use the very center of the button it pretty much always works. Has anyone else experienced this? Is mine defective?

I got used to using the parts of the left and right click buttons closest to the middle button on my Thinkpad. I have a few years of habit here, so I really don't want to have to unlearn it.

Would you be able to open the back plate and check where the NVME SSD is seated?

I think you may bee seeing the buggy behavior that the E7450/E7470 and perhaps other models are exhibiting. The bug is that you cannot operate any keys (including the trackpoint's click buttons) simultaneously with the trackpoint moving.

The click not working may be due to the Trackpoint still moving, try taking your finger off the nub and then clicking.

There is another bug I had posted about in a different thread. These are really silly bugs in an otherwise great keyboard/touchpad/trackpoint combination. If you use linux, these can be worked around using xinput.
