I think it is pretty decent. I don't play games or anything like that. I am an IT consultant so I am in email and remote desktop sessions all day every day. I had light bleed on my E7450, but not on this one. I run it at 40% when on battery and 100% when plugged in. It is bright and sharp enough for me. I have the FHD screen.

    Since I'm certifiable, I replaced my 512GB NVMe PM951 SSD with a Samsung 950 Pro 512GB.

Hi mvalpreda, I've read reports that the Samsung 950 Pro only works on 2 channels rather than 4 which affects it's performance? What does yours show up as?

Also, has anyone had success in getting the brackets for the PCIe SSDs that are mentioned in the owners manual?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out:
Some 7470 models have only SATA port, some other only PCIe and some have both. Is that correct?

There is only one m2 slot available, but it supports both sata and pcie interfaces. For pcie m2 ssd to be recognized, you need to set the sata controller to AHCI mode.

2 channel.....performance is not 100%, but the write is much better than the PM951 that came with it. Understand this is a function of the CPU and not having all the lanes. I think it will be the next gen processors that MAY support multiple 4 lanes, but not now. Need to get into some higher end desktop CPUs to take full advantage of this SSD!

This was the piece of information that I needed to decide if I'm going to buy or not this laptop. I asked in Dell Greece but never received an answer. Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks a lot!

So to confirm the wwan hca port on the dell e7470 cannot be used with a pcie 2242 ssd? Just like the e7450?
