I'm looking at doing exactly what you've just done...I've been given a Dell Latitude E7240 and it seems like a snappy machine...except the screen is terrible. It just looks like an extremely low quality screen. Can you confirm that the screen you used for these pictures is a lot better than the original screen?

The model you mentioned should fit straight in??

This would be a nice laptop if the screen was better.

Hi, for those that have replaced the TN screen on the e7250 with this one LP125WH2-SPM1, did you need to do any modifications or does it just slots in. In the absense of a non touch FHD screen for the e7250 I'm thinking of going with the IPS screen as the TN screen on mine is very poor. Thanks

For the E7240 it just slotted in. Very easy to assemble the screen, removing the bezel proved to be more cumbersome. Afterwards I just some double sided tape on the inside to ensure a flush fit again. Now I've got a super nice IPS panel and I used the ICC profile from this thread as well. Quite an improvement. I upgraded the 720p TN panel on the e7240 with a 720p IPS panel with the following product code: LP125WH2 SPM1. It has the 30pins EDP connector.

Like a lot of people out there, I want to upgrade my 720p panel to a non-touch 1080p panel in one of these.

    I've ordered:

    LCD Part number: LP125WF4 SPB1
The Dell P/N for this panel is: 0X50R6

Not 100% sure what model this panel is out of, 7280 maybe?
It looks like it has the 6 screw holes (3 on each side) in the right place, so that's one issue out of the way.
I'm assuming I'll need to do some modification to the lid because of the bottom PCB section, but just how much is yet to be seen.

I will document what I get and how it goes installing it when it arrives.
