Yes the vostros come underclocked to 400/500... are you saying you actually hit 800/1100 or that it's just as afar as the sliders go? If you can hit 800/1100 that's just rediculous...

    quick question on overclocking software.
I've been fooling with RivaTuner for overclocking my vostro1500's 8400m gs.
Is it necessary to uninstall RivaTuner if I plan on overclocking with AtiTools,
or can they both be tested with simultaneously?
If an uninstall is necessary, what steps should I take to complete uninstall it other than simply using the uninstall wizard? Do I have to reinstall the drivers as well?

What driver r u using? I'm using 5.05.47.00_ntune_winxp_international.exe on my Vista 32bit :) works great.. on my 8400M GS. It does not matter witch tool r u using.. its only about enabled/disabled overclocking function in graphics driver.

Here r my results with different drivers..

163.44 .. Best performance, but no overclocking :( Waiting for new driver with enabled overclocking.. the last driver with enablec OC was 158.45 (if I'm wrong please let me know..)

    165.01. Very bad driver..

    158.45.. 3Dmark01 - 14407 (163.44 - 14545) but with overclocking over 17k
and higher fps in Bioshock, with no problems..

Other drivers: no overclocking and poor performance and other problems..
