how did you verify the memory speed?
I upgraded to an A8-3510MX and added 1.35V 1600 DDR3, the BIOS and setup report 1600 MHz, but CPU-Z says DRAM frequency is 665 MHZ (x2=1333)

    Try using HWinfo64 instead.

Yes, the Bios always reports the correct memory speed, or HWinfo. May I ask which type of 1600MHz 1.35V memory are you using?

    mushkin 8Gx2 from newegg, 1600, 1.35V

HWinfo also reports 667 MHz, I guess 1.35V ram does not work

    thanks guys

I did a quick search & it looks like the A8-3510MX supports DDR3-1600 (1.5V) & DDR3L-1333 (1.35V) according the 3 major sources from Google's search. So this might explain why the memory is being downclocked to 1333 at 1.35V. I'm using CV 1.5V 1600 RAM & HWiNFO reads it correctly (800MHz).

yeah I saw that also on another CPU site and figured thats what was probably happening.
I ordered some 1.5V ram instead now, thanks guys for the confirmations.

But HTWingNut could get work Samsung DDR3 1600MHz CL11 near 1.35V with Llano. I was told him won't work, but he claimed is working perfectly and actually proved here.
Maybe outersquare 1600MHz RAM ain't plug and play RAM, but Intel XMP RAM and AMD cannot use on the advertised speed?

Thanks for posting that, I definitely did not have 800 MHz in CPU-Z. It may simply be a Dell specific BIOS limitation and I did have the latest BIOS.
I have another set of RAM coming in I will try again and report results.

I am now using Geil 16GB (8GBx2) 1600 1.5V and CPU-Z now reports full speed 800 MHz memory operation.

As a side issue, I wonder if the upgraded cpu might be pushing the thermal envelope for this notebook.
HWmonitor reports a steady 80C for CPU/GPU while playing Crysis 2.
I did not check prior to upgrade what the temps were. I did clean the HSF and apply arctic silver when installing the new processor.

My Vostro 3555 came with an A8-3500M. The best stock cpu is A8-3520M.
I went as conservative as possible and upgraded to A8-3510MX but it still runs noticeably hotter.

    A8-3500M
    1500 MHz/2400 MHz/35W TDP

    A8-3520M
    1600 MHz/2500 MHz/35W TDP

    A8-3510MX
    1800 MHz/2500 MHz/45W TDP

Apparently all the same voltage, process and core stepping.

Otherwise no problems at the moment, no instability, desktop performance much snappier and gaming performance much improved, because of both the faster CPU and GPU.

Great setup otherwise, fast and inexpensive. Arguably the fastest setup for integrated graphics on a dell.
I am pretty much tied at the hip to dell since my work environment is all dell and I like being able to reuse the accessories.

Glad you made run your RAMs at 1600MHz. I did not noticed temperature increase with MX APU, although I started with undervolting process with all the P-States.

Add these voltages in Fusiontweaker, it worked on all Llano APU very well that I tested:

    1.15............2400MHz for P0 and P1
    1.025...........2000Mhz for P2
    0.9625..........1800
    0.9125..........1600
    0.8625..........1400
    0.8125..........1200
    0.7750..........1000
    0.7250..........800MHz for P7
