hi Atom_Anti, i would l like to take a Dell Vostro 3555 to play music, and dj mixing with Traktor pro 2.. please could you download and launch DPC Latency Checker on your laptop and post here the test's result..

this is a free software that can test Lantecy of your machine, to play music without drops, ALL the bars you'll see must be and remain green (test it almost 2 minute)

    Thanks

    Beppoz

Wlan was turned on and I was browsing on the internet. If I am not browsing the net, it always stays low as the linked picture.

If I turn off wlan and I watch 1080p movie I got maximum 300us. So it stays always in the green area.

This Behringer BCD3000 is just USB 2 ready, so it's impossible for your Vostro to connect it thru USB3 in USB3 MODE. Moreover I am yet to find a USB3 soundcard elsewhere being Dec 2011.

If you mean that the actual vostro USB 3 connectors dont connect your USB 2 devices at all, there are guides/threads all over google to fix this. Its very simple procedure related to the USB3 port itself no to Dell or other lap/desktop manufacturer.

One big reason audio people (like me) do really like the actual Vostro Line is that -excepting 3353- they have ExpressCard connectors and hence we are able to plug selected low latency soundcards via Firewire 800, 400, MADI, custom, etc... with the appropriate Expresscard adaptor working at 5G/s.
Let alone that we remain open and able to the possibility that good USB3 interfaces actually do appear in the future.
