    That's too bad.
Trinity chips actually use Socket FS1r2. I'm guessing the r2 means it's different enough that it wouldn't work.

I think it's the BIOS... Maybe. Trinity uses the same A75 chipset as Llano, iirc.

I assuming lack of bios support. If chipset same, than whatever is that r2 means, should work with it. Remember for AM3 motherboards also could take AM3+ (Bulldozer) processors and chipset were not even the same.

I wish I could test an A10-4600M in my Lenovo E425 but I'd probably get the same results. I'd do it for fun anyways. :p

You should check, it is probably bios issue and Lenovo might added Trinity support.

Atom, why do not you try to add the necessary Trinity microcodes to A05 from a Dell Trinity laptop?

I'm not a bios hacker and probably not I'm the one who should provide product support for not even a year old Dell laptop. I've done what I could and if Dell won't coming with support need to change the laptop.

I'm sorry to hear, but there is not much left to do. I would recommend just upgrade with A8-3550MX, the overall performance still superior comparing with Intel Ivy Bridge APU.
If you insist to have that A10-4600M than try harder at Dell support! According to Dell-Bill_B Dell representative, when you purchase a Dell; you get build quality, materials, warranty and support over the competitions. So live with it, you have four Dell laptop ;)....
