Did they send you a brand new replacement or a refurbished replacement.

What can one do to know for certain that the replacement is a brand new machine and not a factory refurbished machine??

    Thanks.

Does it really matter? If it looks brand new, and feels brand new, even if its refurb-ed the warrenty is still in place. Besides the laptop is only a couple months old I can't imagine they have a stock pile of ready to go.

On another note have we figured out what the performance diference is between the 770 and the 1700? Is it worth the price for performance difference? Has anyone done any AE/3DSMAX tests?

RGB LED's are required for our next round of laptop purchases, and given the confusion I became involved.

I own the company and was threatening to tell IT to buy the HP 8730 dreamcolor but told dell we would prefer a 15".

About 3 weeks back I leaned very heavy on our Dell corp rep and received an email stating to look for the m4400 rgb led in a month or so. Based on that email we're holding off...

Don't like this treatment at all...

Can the M6400 be used on your lap for 40 mins without heat discomfort using 1)AC power and 2)battery power?

With repect to noise. If you were using your notebook in a quiet meeting would you be comfortable with the fan noise?

Fan noise levels in quiet settings?

    Thanks

I was wondering does anyone know if there was a benchmark/program that lets you monitor how much memory your videocard is actively using when using programs such as 3dsmax, after effects, etc. I would like to see if the 4400 or 6400 is best for me.
