Does anyone have a problem with Bluetooth always being on?
Wears my battery quickly and I cannot switch off the bluetooth. Fn+F2 turns of wifi but the BT is still on and I never use it.

You can change which wireless devices are affected by the Fn+F2. Either in BIOS or in Quickset (Windows Mobility options).

Just ordered one: Core i5-2530, 4 GB, 500 GB, 6-cell battery for $689 (649+40 tax). Was also considering a Lenovo T420 for the better battery life (with 9-cell), better resolution screen (1600x900), DVD recorder (not important to me) and better build, but didn't think that it was worth $390 more (with tax). Plus, the V131 came with some compensating extras even at the cheaper price: Bluetooth, backlit keyboard, fingerprint scanner, USB 3.0 (important to me). Can't wait to receive it in about 2 weeks.

I can't seem to find any sort of useful owner's manual that describes things like functions and settings. So I'm wondering if you can help. Do you find the quick launch buttons useful? If not, what can you reconfigure the quick launch buttons to do?

If by "quick-launch buttons" you mean the 3 buttons in the upper right corner of the keyboard only one is fully customizable (as far as I know).
First button is essentially win+x (some power management)

Second button originally opened some dell window with support stuff (haven't installed it though after I reinstalled windows) since I doubt it's of any use to me.

Third button is fully customizable, I have mine set to open the calculator but you can open a web page for example (I assume you can open just about anything that can be opened though)

Thanks. Too bad that the second button isn't also customizable, since Dell support isn't something I'd use often (if at all). But no big deal, since I use Keybreeze to launch almost everything.

Were you actually able to do that? Quickset launches but bluetooth does not have its On/Off enabled.
