I JUST GOT MINE. It's arrived, and it's amazing.
The design is stunning and the performance is peppy. Yes, the fan comes on but it's very mellow to me and would blend in with room sounds (classroom). The hatch was easy to open. I unscrewed the screw then stuck a piece of wax paper into the seam. I then wedged a guitar pick between that paper and the frame and the cover just popped like that. After that I just used my fingers to pry the thing open. I'll try to give a full review soon.

Hello guys, here are some news for my camera issue.

I called the Dell Support on tuesday ; the Dell Support guy took control on my laptop, he tried to reinstall the driver, update the bios, etc ... but it didn't help.
So he said that there was probably an hardware problem on the camera itself, and he sent a technician to my home yesterday, the technician replaced the camera, and now it's ok, no more black screen.

So I'm very satisfied of the Dell Support efficiency.
The problem was fastly fixed. :)

Hello, there is no precision about the external connectors on the documentation i received. But on the Vostro page of the French Dell website, the eSATA/USB connector appears independently of the chosen configuration (i3, e5, etc)...

I would like to get the V131, is it that much different than the V130? I can get the V130 for about $100 less. Just not sure if the V131 is worth it over

The battery performance was the main weakness on the V130 ... it has been greatly improved on the V131.

    Hi!

Are it standard problem with ckean install ofOS on n-series of V131 ot it on all types?
I am IT technician about 20 years and it first time ,i cannt instal anything!!!
Look like BUG in BIOS - install can't define fixed disk with both SATA and ACHI modes.
    Cloning work fine.

How DELL can sell laptop with so bugy BIOS?

I had zero problems with my clean install (Other than trying to install from a USB 3 port :) )so maybe it's your machine. Give Dell a call and I'm sure that they'll help you to resolve the issue.

PikaTux, it would be very useful for the community, and for you, if you put your Intel 310 series SSD in the mini-PCIE slot of your V131 and give us the answer - "Does the Vostro V131 supports mSATA". We will really appreciate that!
The mini-PCIE slot is under the keyboard - http://forum.notebookreview.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=71096&stc=1&d=1317408048.
For further instructions you can use the service manual - Documentation.
