These are the new pictures of the new 17" Precision Workstation model M6400 scheduled for release this fall (replacing the current M6300 model) I got them from a couple of different places to post them all here. If you know off any other pictures , by all means post 'em!

Just felt like starting a thread to find out how much interest this notebook actually has. I was originally going for the Thinkpad W700 but those prices are insane - borderline ridiculous! I waited for nothin...

I know there isnt much to talk about since its not released yet..but if anyone do know of ANY information aside from what you can gather from DELL.com, feel free to post..:p

Any more info on the specs? I read somewhere it's going to be 2 dual-core cpu. That would be weird. I'm not seeing the advantage over a quadcore.

    4 so-dimm sockets for 16GB
    2 HD carriages for 2x 500GB (@5400rpm)
1GB of Graphic memory, so it looks like a 9800M GTX or a Quadro FX 3700M (128 CUDA Parallel Processor Cores)
[ The Quadro FX 2700M and Quadro FX 1700M only have 512MB]

    I also like the 2x DVI-Dual outputs for 2x 30" Resolution.
