Just to be devil's advocate, DDR3's 17% less power consumption over DDR doesn't make a tangible difference in the greater picture. And lower power ram, hybrid graphics and lower power cpu might sound like a big list of perks, but essentially they are one in the same--better battery life.

To everyone who can get the dell cheaper than the lenovo, are you aware that you can get epp pricing + seasonal coupons at any time? The epp login and password are easily found on the net.

regardless of model, lenovo seems to have this magic formula to pretty good battery life.

i dont think EPP pricing applies outside the US.

Battery life isn't the only thing. I can't stand a hot laptop. It get tiring on your hands when the keyboard is warm / hot and it hurts your legs if the bottom is hot.

Understood, but I didn't think that most any laptop was laptop capable anymore at least with a real GPU; however with hybrid graphics and such I can see your reasoning. FWIW, I'm not working right now and did 6 hours of gaming yesterday, intensive and this machine stayed cool and I couldn't even hear the fans come on (I mean like a jet taking off like my Asus C90s, stayed quiet). GPU never rose about 75C according to HWmonitor...HD, CPU everything stayed cool. HST, what's a battery and I use a notebook cooler too :D

PS: I noticed NO downclocking, use BIOS A09 and stock vid drivers. My machine was built around Dec 12 if that means anything.

I sold the M4400 just before Christmas, but I took some pics with the MacBook Pro until I shipped the M4400:

The M4400 has a LG screen, the MacBook Pro has a Chi Mei screen. In real the MacBook Screen looked gorgeous, it is about 20% brighter (300nit vs. 350nit) so the screen was a bit to bright for the camera. The colors and contrast on the matte M4400 were almost as good as on the glossy MacBook screen...
