mmmk...think it might be a difference between XP and Vista maybe. I'm gonna try running it in XP to see what that does, until now i only tried in Vista so....could give very different results

yeah,it surprises me also, most people here have faster cpu's than I,and the cpu make's quite a bit of difference usually.....maybe its my cool ambient temps,or the AS5,although it doesn't really get that hot running 3dmark.....dunno,no secrets, have said what I did.

Would like to see what chorus25's quad would post with the same clock's on his GPU running XP,because his cpu score smokes mine.

has anyone got any tips on how to optimize the gpu settings? not overclock, but make some changes in the control panel so its more gaming rather than CAD oriented? thanks

Shouldn't need to optimise GPU settings for games,D3D performance should be the same as any other G94 geforce chip with similar clock rates, memory etc.

what utility would you guys recommend to monitor temps? I dont have the locking up problem, at least i hope.

i played serious sam 2 with all settings on max and at 1920x1200 resolution for a few hours. Did not see any performance drop. Is this game taxing enough? Its not a very new game...

i also tried medal of honour airborne for about an hour, settings at max, but resolution lowered. I think 1xxx by 7xx. No drop in performance.

Does this mean i probably dont have the lockup issue?
