Ya, I've already bugged them a few times about the screen. I just ordered a screen off Ebay so I guess I'll just have to wait and see if it works.

I love the 1600x900 display. The screen isn't the greatest of quality, but the resolution is really nice.

If it doesn't work, you can always sell it on eBay or here in the marketplace forum on notebookreview.

Which type do you have -- matte or glare/glossy? I heard this AUO HD+ screen is the best you can get for this laptop. So, the text isn't tiny at this resolution, right?

    Exactly.

I had the Matte one. Looks like the one that was in it was the AUO. Now that you say that I'm worried that I'm not going to like the screen I ordered. Hopefully it's ok. I didn't find the text hard to read at all; I have 20/20 vision though, so not sure how hard it'd be to read for other people. It's not any harder for me to read than the text on my 22" monitors at 1680x1050.

Yes yours was an AUO as per your prior post.

AUO is just better than the others doesn't mean the rest are faulty. :) It is also expensive at $120+ on eBay. Display should be OK as long as it matches the specs and Dell provided part numbers.

    Hi,
I'm very new here, but I've been trying to switch the screen on my Latitude e6420 for a little while now - from 1366x768 to 1600x900. I have the new screen from AUO and bought a Dual Channel LVDS cable and replaced it. It still doesn't want to work, unfortunately. When I put the new screen in the display is all messed up (pink, blocky lines). Is there a setting in the BIOS, or on the motherboard (jumper? switch?) that also needs tweaking?

Any ideas would be massively appreciated... Cheers!

Please provide the actual part numbers or pictures so I can confirm you have the correct items needed.

Anyone still got a spare XJJFC for sale or a cheap source for me?
Otherwise I would have an AUO 0WJ139 for sale in Germany ;-)
