It's tied to the part number of the assembly, right? There was another one that showed a picture of the cable's P/N, but it was refurbished and about the same price.

Yes, but sometimes the third parties do not know the difference between the true dual channel HDF+ cable and the stock single channel.

One way to tell is to look for the RED/BLACK ribbon cable lines, which is 99% of the time the correct cable. Here is one that is still a fair price: NEW DELL LATITUDE E6420 LCD BACK COVER w/HINGES P8FNX | eBay

Sorry couldn't get to post until as I had hard disk issues.

Thanks scott and robin. I was checking the items on eBay. Seems like no one has just the video cable.

Can I use the P8FNX for installing a webcam if I buy a front screen bezel?

You need to replace the mic-only board with a webcam board.

I found the same part with pics @ lower price. It also shows video cable in the pic (red wires between black wires).

Thanks robin. I guess I would need a front trim bezel as well. :)

I will just buy a screen and P8FNX for now.

I have an AUO and it is very bad - definitely worse than the one I have on my Latitude E6410 (1440x900) . :). May be because it is just 1366x768?

Is the 1600x900 version of the AUO LCD screen much better if you happen to compare the two? How different are other makers' displays in terms of quality of display?

I will also try Dell for the cable though I suspect the prices from Dell wouldn't be lower than those from eBay.

I have an AUO screen/monitor according to HWinfo:

Do I need to stick to AUO screens or can I use LG or Samsung?
