max, you just have loose screws. the rest of us don't have this problem (and can fix it when it loosens by tightening the screws.). my machine is well over a year old and has no issues with this.

it also is a very quick fix.

Is there any wobble in the screen when it is almost shut? If so, tighten the screws as already recommended above. If there is wobble in the screen when it is approximately vertical but not if it is almost closed then the hinges will need to be replaced. This is the situation I have after 18 month use but, in my opinion, it's not yet bad enough to request Dell to fix it.

No not when its is at an angle less than 80degree or more than 120
Thats why i dont want to risk with opening it up
But our systems are different mine is ATG
among all it has metal hinges

I think all Latitudes have metal hinges.

Yup...it's just the cover that plastic, same thing on both the E6400 and the M4400. Mine wobbled a bit after nearly a year but the screw trick fixed it.

I had that situation (wobbling only when near vertical), but tightening the screws fixed it for me.

i haven't read all 61 pages, sorry if thats been asked... i am using e6400 with p8400 & nvs 160m. then somehow i got an e4300 with sp9400, just wondering if i could swap the cpu? both with newest bios, just not sure if they would support the different cpu...

dont really like 1280x800 on e4300, although i love the weight and size...

Almost 100% sure that the SP9400 on the E4300 is soldered to the motherboard. Can't change it without changing the motherboard.
