first Wifi is disabled at every startup
2.hd Videos look less clear than on vista, especially in VLC player
on top of that i see "pixelated patterns , big squares, containing other small squares, its watchable but looks bad, in youtube flash"

    it is faster though

    - Get the latest wireless card drivers available. Be sure to remove and restart your computer BEFORE installing the latest one to clear all old settings.

    - Try Windows Media Player 12 for you 2 HD video's. If you can't play them. Use this specially designed codec pack for Windows 7 and Vista 32 and 64-bit: Shark007 (free). It doesn't overwrite Windows codec packs, but adds them. Install the 32-bit version codec, and then the 64-bit component if you use Windows Vista/7 64-bit. It also comes with a neat Control Panel accessible from the start menu, which allows you to have configure all codecs from 1 place, including speaker setup, and even allows you to enable 64-bit Windows Media Player 12, and change all file association form the 32 to the 64-bit version automatically. 64-bit codecs provides better performance, and can save a bit of battery life.

As for Flash... that is just Flash plug-in, nothing has changed, no new version released since a while. Either the video quality is set to lower from youTube Flash video player, or the person changed the video to a lower quality, or it's just you.

here is a log made using proc monitor
    Logfile.PML

could it be the defragment utility?
because directories starting with HKLM HKCU HKCR are most frequent.

You had patients? From all I can see you had a minor problem, and said: I give up, Win7 is the biggest failure of man kind, even though it works perfectly for everyone else. I am going to put back XP.
No wait.. I am sorry.. put Vista back... than apparently your still not happy, and want to put XP. Ok... you want DOS 6.11? I still got the floppies.
My guess is that you use a crappy software that breaks your computer, or you use some untested tweak tool of sorts that breaks your system from functioning properly, and you for wtv reason, you find the most minor thing in the world, or even invent it, and make it the biggest case in the world "STOP THE PRESS! I am sure my video is loosely more pixelated. It must be Windows 7 that reduces video quality, and not just me. Arm the missiles!". That, or you don't know how to install an OS.

If you think XP is the answer for everything, go install it. No one cares, it's your system. But from what I can see Vista did not help.

Ok let's start from the beginning:

So here is the list of problems you are facing apparently (just a recap)
    - Wireless doesn't auto connect anywhere
    - All your video is extremely poor quality, while on other computers it's super high quality
    - Your HDD is under heavy load, when the system is idle
    - Your Touchpad doesn't work properly, mouse shift a bit to the left and right, but no mater what you do, it really can't be move across the screen

Am I missing something, or did not get something right?

Question, what's the system tray icon to the left of the power icon (yellow with a green check mark)?
