Your HDD is indexing.. leave your computer turned on, idle, over night, and it should be fine.
    Also defrag your HDD.

im now on xp, ill dualboot and try that , if it works ill stay with vista and leave xp for emergencies
i dont think it will work though, as i said indexing wasnt checked, ticked, on both drives
and if it is, its now indexing every day for 100 days, i think 1 more night wont make a difference
    and its defragmented

Try removing the windows search feature from Windows Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

That should eliminate the indexing issue. I have done the same for Win 7 and the HDD is extremely quiet.

Actually this is Windows 7 default settings. I have on my desktop the Full retail box and it's like this. It does this when you touch Home Group. If you never touch it after you install Windows, and disable it services, it should (if I recall correctly) not be enabled. Beside it's no problem. When you connect to a public network, and click on public network for the first time on the network configuration box (other choices are Home and Business), then your fine as your computer is completely hidden, and nothing is shared.

It is a problem. The share youre talking about should be for the users public folders that is what they were designed for. All the users main folders i.e. their my documents, desktop files etc should not be shared.

Win7 runs great on the E6400. I suggest you try again.

I think the windows witch has put a curse on me
Xp: i got very low performance- games on miniclip were barely playable , low performance in games, with latest drivers
and with all network card power saving options turned off i couldnt get speed higher than 3mbps

So back to vista: 1 problem is better than more
PLEASE SOMEONE LOOK OVER THOSE LOGS, WHAT IS CAUSING EXCESSIVE HDD ACCESS
I can upload more logs if someone needs them

Edit : i cant tell you how happy i am, now after 5 minutes after start up the hdd is silent, with only Firefox running and no antivirus

    One more thing to check.

If you have a Seagate Drive with Anti shock, those are known to do that, something to do with shock protection.

I had a e4300 and no matter what I did, I had frequent HDD access.

Got a replacement toshiba drive from Dell, and the problem disappeared.

    More details here.

Latitude E4300 Frequent Disk access - Disk Drives (HDD, CD/DVD, Blu-ray) Forum - Disk Drives - Dell Community

Also win 7 64 bit runs like a charm on e6400 and e4300 in case you decide to make a switch.
