    Is it not the Ricoh something-or-another driver? It's under "chipset" I think?

    Thanks youre right. Installed it but didnt solve my issue.

    I notice in event viewer i always have

    SCardSvr Error
    Smart Card Reader 'Dell USB Reader 0' rejected IOCTL TRANSMIT: A device attached to the system is not functioning.

    The reader is functioning so I cant understand the error.

    I hope someone can help me, is it possible to change my proc from p8400 to p8700 from a broken hp probook? and can i replace my keyboard with the backlit keyboard?

    I spoke to my supplier re:backlit keyboard and she told me that i cant simply swap from regular keyboard to backlited because there's something in the mainboard that my unit lacks. can someone enlighten me pls. tnx

    Agreed. That person clearly doesn't have hands-on knowledge. Swapping the keyboards is a 5 minute job and the rest of the computer is designed to handle either type of keyboard. I've done it.

    Same here, there's not "something missing on your mainboard". Your supplier is the one who's missing something ;)
