    This is not too surprising. Every Dell notebook since the Inspiron 8600-style has had fairly unreliable DVD+/-RW Drives. CD-rom and DVD-Rom/CD-RW drives have fared better. I know it's a lottery with DVD optical drives, but when two out of the three are drives unrealiable, it's not a bright outlook.

    Which burner?

    My E6400 has the product key sticker under the battery, not on the bottom of the computer (maybe didn't want to spoil that smooth metal base). Did you check there?

    I hope I don't have the burner problem with mine when I recieve it.

    So Dell finally got smart and realized that all of those stickers fade within a year when computer is used on your lap.

    I saw the E4300 and E4200. It say coming soon.

    When I go back to the main page, it listed it as in RM$.

    Then I forgot I was on the Dell Malaysia website.

    But the Dell USA website listed nothing about the E4300 or E4200.

    This lead me to belive that the laptop is still assembled in Malaysia?

    Coming soon is how soon?
