Latitude E-Series Anticipation Thread

I will be interested to hear how the more powerful CPU / GPU combination impact in the temperature and the battery life.

The really funny thing is, my m2400 was the exact same except for Vista and bluetooth and that sat at build in progress for over two weeks. I was shocked when the rep said it was on its way to the US.

 

Don't you guys think 0.3MP camera is a bit too "low-tech" for this hi-end laptop? I mean even some netbooks have 1.3MP camera.

 

No, the webcam should be fine. Digital cameras hype up the MP thing and it really doesn't make much difference on the computer. Lower resolution is necessary since the camera is smaller to fit on the thinner LCD.

 

I think this camera is intended for chatting, nothing more, so 640 x 480 is an appropriate size for a window on the screen while also not using much bandwidth. I was more impressed by the microphone.

That's my order. Subtotal of $1430 and with the 5% EPP, the rep actually got my order down to $1344, a total of 6% off, and I don't know how he did it. Most likely because my first rep went to his supervisor about the 5% coupon, put me on hold, and then I was suddenly hung up on.
