I am so anxious to see so much more about the Latitude E series so I thought I would start a thread where we can all talk about new things they heard, what they like from what they have seen, and other stuff.

I live the metallic look to the whole laptop. Gives it a professional yet stylish look. Still would love a price outlook, thats always good.

I spoke to a DeLL sales rep over the weekend and he said he's not allowed to give out specific details of future products. He did say July looks like when new products will get released.

LOL, I am really hoping there is not much delay in the release or shippment of them. I need to buy my laptop in July. Also dont know about the price, my limit is 2000 and I want the 6500, any idea if the price will be to high?

There was another thread speculating on the E Series Latitude. Some were guessing that the price for the new E Series machines should be comparable to the current lineup.

Yea I was just looking at that, at first without thinking I thought the D's were expensive but they r not that bad so it makes me feel better when it comes to the price for the E's. So id say around 1600-1700 for a well configured E6500

I just bought a very equipped Vostro 1700 and a couple of days ago I bought a Vostro 1500 and I don't regret it one bit.

I was stoked about the new Vostro 1310, 1510 and 1710. After reading the review for the 1310 all I could say was yuck no thanks, i'll stick with the current Vostro laptops.

So now i'm waiting to see what the NBR review has to say when the new E Series Latitudes arrive mid year. The current Latitudes are nice so you should have no regrets regarding your purchase.

I think I'm going to try and get my boss to let me upgrade my D620 to the new E-series. The D620 is fine, I just like new stuff!

I don't want to jump to conclusions but up on the DeLL website's main page there's the E Series Latitude based on the pictures i've seen on Engadget. :D

It's the laptop in the center surrounded by the server rack.

edit: That could also be the 1310 but it sure looks like the E Series Latitude.
