    wow....reading about the delay in montevina....guess there'll be no new latitudes in June if thats true.

    Hopefully we'll get some more details/pics at least

    Hmmm... I saw it on the Dell thinking forum or something, under dell latitude E, haha o well the pics in engadget still look cool.

    Ugh your probably right according to CNN money looks like the montevina chips is delayed to july 14th...
    thats a shame...

    I asked a Dell rep yesterday about the E-Latitude and he said, from what he has 'heard', to expect it no sooner than August and possibly as late as December, but the most probable time is September or October.

    That picture has been around for quite some time, on close inspection it looks like a CGI concept render to me.

    I guess is it was an early design for the e-series and insider reports suggest that some of that style has carried through into the final design, some hasnt.

    Ah well hopefully the Inspirons wont be delayed as afaik, they arent using montevina

    Entire Centrino 2 line has been delayed more than a month. Expect the entire E-series line to be delayed by a similar timeline.

    If these delay estimates are accurate, I may as well wait for the Nehalem chip. It has more upside than the Montevina.
