Thanks! May I ask where you found that out?

And are we still on track for a July 15 debut here, or what?

Check out the spec sheets in the gallery that Engadget leaked, here

All the new E Series notebooks will support a new "E Family Docking and Adapters".

according to the Duke university computer store's site (posted in another thread here). The E series there looks quite different. basically very very similar to the XPS, but with gun metal colored palm rests, and black/dark grey accents.

Seeing as how the Inspiron Studio came out to look slightly different from the first renditions (which had a screen all the way to the edge, "button" type keyboard like on the macbook, etc).. I wouldn't be surprised.

Or maybe these aren't the real pictures of the E series? Duke might have needed something to put on their website, while Dell might have been trying to avoid leaking the actual pictures before the release. So, a photo-shopped version of an M1530 goes up instead?

I hope at least, I'm not a huge fan of those thick silver bezels. :(

To my eye those images look far more like a CGI rendition than a photograph.

*shrug* I see no point in getting worked up over speculation since there's been nothing office. Better to wait for real pics and real specs before getting ones undies in a wad. ;)

The Dell E-series and Centrino 2 may be released soon (like maybe July 15) but Intel has delayed until at least August the release of the Montevina integrated graphics hardware. The E4200/E4300/E5400/E5500 have only the integrated graphics chipset according to the info on Engadget, the E6400/E6500 have either Intel ingrated or discrete nVidia graphics, and the E5400a/E5500a AMD-based notebooks have ATI graphics.
