Perhaps they haven't changed the pricing yet for EPP members? I really hope they do something about this soon since I want to get my order in ASAP.

I too would like to know the chances of them giving these discounts ontop of the regular EPP savings. If they don't, my current configuration is slightly cheaper with the SMB savings and I may as well just order now.

    Any thoughts?

I pushed really really hard today, EPP won't apply the $260 discount.

I ended up threatening to cancel, they wouldn't budge (I called two reps and emailed Purdue's main rep), and they called my bluff.

So I canceled my order for now.

You aren't bluffing if you actually cancel...

Well, I got a Canadian rep that *almost* did a price match to the Dell USA site, went from:
    - almost $1600 + $125 S&H + 13% Tax
    to
    - $1299 + 13% Tax

So about $430 off, plus the saved tax means I got about $500 off of this laptop. Specs are in my signature.

I'm proud of you. These folks got to realize that we ain't gonna take it no more! Plus, if you cancel today, tomorrow they will have a better computer, or price, anyway so no big loss. You can always do better later than the deal you got today. IMHO

And my first deal with my sales rep is still open to me, should I decide to re-order that.

    She's just that darn good.

In all actuality, canceling the order was my way to delay the shipment long enough for EPP to possibly discount the base price too.

But bluffing, and then calling your bluff, is a good way to *sometimes* lay all the cards on the table and say you mean business next time.

So the 5 percent EPP coupon expires tomorrow so I ultimately went and ordered today. Got 1277 after tax and shipping with the 260 smb discount and the 5 percent. As with Greg's case, the rep wouldn't let me apply both my EPP and the 260, but it was pretty smooth sailing with the coupon.

Just a heads up for anyone ordering through smb.

I want to know exactly how you got that...please post full specs.

The offer I have, which is currently on the table...:D

I had this for $1581 earlier...still might go for it...:D

Currently trying to combine the best of both orders...$100 Dell card for a cheap dock, and the lower configuration in the first quote.

It's not that amazing a deal as I pretty much only bought the upgrades that aren't so easy to do on your own time. I'm going to buy a second stick of DDR2 and the Intel 5300 off eBay. When SSD prices come down a bit more I'll sack the crappy drive as well.
