    Thanks for the information!
I'm no so happy right now because it has been 24 hours since I ordered the system and there's no status until now...not even a confirmation.
I called them twice and waited for about 15-20 minutes in line...they didn't picked up the phone.

I've canceled and reordered a few times. Now I'm sitting here and all my orders are canceled, which is what I want.

I'm not happy about this. I need someone in the US that can provide some proof to me that they got a 25% discount off their order. Dell won't budge on my 16% discount.

You probably won't get that 25% off in the US. It's possible in Europe and other regions, where starting prices are considerably higher.

For comparison..The starting price for E6400 in the US (dell.com) is $1,139 and with delivery the price goes up $70,00 totalling $1,209. This turns to roughly €835 (conversion used is €1 = $1,45).

In Europe (Finland to be precise / dell.fi) the exact same configuration with delivery goes for €1,070 which turns into $1,551.

So you see, they have the profit margin in here to go up to 25% discounts..

    edit:Did some speculations...

If you'd get 16% off of the rack price in US with the above mentioned configuration you would end up to $1,015.
If I'd get 25% off of the rack price in Finland with the same configuration I would end up to $1,163.

    You win.. :D

When the E4300 hits Dell's website, will it be available instantly, or will I have to wait another month for them to build it, and then deliver it?

When going to finalize an order, tell Dell you will use your personal credit card or debit card. NOT PayPal, and NOT the Dell Preferred Account.

They'll offer you another 4% off if you commit to using DPA. :D Or another 2% off, if your original discount was 8% instead of 12%.

Got my hands on an e4200 today. Here are some pics. This thing is light! It was so light coming out of the box, it really felt like there wasnt enough to it to be a live system, but it is! Most of the weigh is on the 6 cell battery you see on it.

More to come. I did these with a tripod and am seeing that a lot of the ones I took still came out blurry. I'll take more later. Let me know if any of you have questions on this little guy.

Pricing specifications on both the E4300 and E4200! Also, for any/all E notebooks...LED brightless specifications (how many nits)?

Weight and/or battery lives of the notebooks, with their biggest single battery possible, also appreciated.

Oh, and pictures of the backlit keyboard pretty please? :D

    Thanks!

    I would appreciate these:

    1. Picture with a DVD disc next to it for scale.

    2. Picture of how far the screen opens (degrees).

    3. Picture of the power brick.

    Thanks!
