    Hi Guys,

I recived that IPS 768p Matte panel (LP125WH2-SPM1) and I only can say that is great!

Panel is same like E7240 default one (size and frame) so instalation is very simple without any modifications.

Here's some pictures Ive maked to show how it works, no compare to original TN from Dell, and for me is realy shame that I must pay extra 100$ to have IPS panel with normal comfortable view. Is busines line so its big minus for Dell to adding so ****y TN panles to thier laptops!

Hi... all the LP125WF2-SPB1 I've found seem to show the panel without any brackets to secure it to the chassis. The original Dell panel has a bracket with 6 holes.

How did you secure the LP125WF2-SPB1?

    Thanks.

Did it on a Hydis screen to put into a X200 using a razor blade, but the X250 seems like a safer bet.

I'm trying to imagine the process - did you break the digitizer off in chunks, and scrape the bonding glue off with the razor blade?!?

I know on my Motorola Moto G it was quite impossible to separate the digitizer without ruining the LCD. For that matter, the LCD was glued to the carrier below it and that made it even more impossible.

So you're thinking that Yoga screen in the opicture might be separatable?!? I'd be willing to give it a try, $80 isn't the end of the world...altho I have a 00HM111 on the way now, which I hear has some "ghosting" issues. But we'll see.

    Thanks

You could try laptopscreen.com - I imagine the lenovo x240 and x250 1080p and 720p screens would work for the Dells. This was the case for the 14" models anyway. It appears the x240/x250 and the e7250/e7240 use the same connector.

It uses that 3M bonding glue that's very strong, but it's kind of like an egg. You can squeeze it in your hand all day and it'll never break, but if you poke it, the shell breaks. You could never pry it off and doing so would probably crack the glass, which would likely damage the screen, but if you stick a razor blade between the glass and LCD frame, you can cut the glue. Just go all the way around, slow, but sure, until the touch surface come off. The glue left on the LCD frame peeled off easily.

is there a drop in replacement know to work? Separating stuff is a bit too time intensive for me.
