Darn. If it's the plate screw, I'm OK. Otherwise, I'm screwed.

Check the screw first. Even if it's the base chassis, that part is fairly easy to replace.

Speaking of screws, I recently got an E6530 and tried to take the bottom panel off. I got one of the screws out but the other screw did not move at all. It ended up being chipped up so I stopped going any further. I am going to end up returning this laptop anyway. Will this mess up the return because Dell might say that I damaged it? The screw was fastened so tightly that I could not move it without damaging the screw. Or maybe I used the wrong screwdriver. However, the screwdriver worked fine on the other screws. Appreciate any response.

    Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about it, one screw shouldn't cause a problem.

Heh, thank you for the reassurance. I feel sort of bad I did it. The screwdriver was a tiny one that is made for optical devices but it worked on the other screws. Appreciate it.

Actually, I think it's the type of screw. It doesn't have thread all the way up so it feels loose. A regular screw doesn't move around. Thanks again for the reply. One last thing: I bought a bluetooth module 375, but the cable which was on a e6410 doesn't seem to fit. Does anybody know what part number it is?

I don't know if they changed the screw on the E6530, but on previous systems, it does tighten.

Does anyone have 3 displays working on the E6220 (laptop LCD + 2 externals)? I have the Advanced Dock with 2 DVI monitors connected with my E6430 with nVidia. I recently learned the integrated graphics will support 3 displays with the E6x30 series over DisplayPort....curious about the E62x0 series.

The E6220 only supports 2 concurrent displays. (any combination of internal and external) with the onboard GPU. I do have 3 24" displays connected to my E6220. the 3rd display uses a USB displaylink adapter.
I'm not sure the standard intel gpu can support more than 2 displays. Haswell is supposed to be able to support 3.
