It's quite easy to remove it. I started in the middle on the top, work my way down the two sides. As Robin pointed out, the bottom is held by double sided tape. Take it very slow when you peel it, try as much as possible to leave that tape attached to the bezel. That tape is pretty strong, it actually pulled off the protective tape on the panel itself.

Use finesse, not force. The same is true when you reinstall the bezel, if it's all lined up properly, it does not take much force to pop the snaps back in.

Ok, I finally did it. I got the panel installed but how in the world did you get the bezel back on without discoloration around the panel edges? Seems the panel is bulging out a bit and when I try to snap the bezel on it presses down on the panel and makes bright spots around the edges.

Any pointers? I'm thinking about completely cutting out the inner frame of the display shell that way there won't be any stress on the panel edges.

EDIT: So a lot of what was causing my discoloration was the mic cable that was ran behind the panel. I removed it and re-routed it back into the bottom chassis and bam... the discoloration along the top is gone. Now all I have left is a bright spot right above both hinges where the bezel is clipping in too tight, pinching the panel. Any ideas?

    E6230 has a mSATA option

    The E6230 datasheet says:
Dell haven't been able to confirm if that mSATA SSD is used via a mPCIe slot or if it's in an enclosure for use in the 2.5" drive bay.

Stay tuned, we may have an ultraportable other than a Lenovo X220/X230 that can do a mSATA SSD + HDD storage arrangement. I prefer the E6230's looks too.

Dell India "confirmed" ** by phone it uses mPCIe for the 6230 but wouldn't say anything regarding brand and type/model # of SSD.

How does that work if you also get the optional internal 3G, there are 2 mPCIe slots in the 6230?

If you go with a regular HDD (cheaper), which SSD type would you need to buy to bring it into the year 2012?

    P.S.
I am new on the forum and despite a quick search could not find a 6230 thread.. Also I waited almost a year for the Ivy bridge and USB 3.0 update, I cant wait to order next week!
** Also, Dell India told me the 6220 did not have docking port... At least the website confirms this for the 6230.

That's a lot of bogus...my E6220 came with a PM830, which is just a standard 7mm 2.5" drive. You can also use the PM810, which is also 7mm.

There are three mPCIe slots, two half-height and one full-height for WWAN.

Shows what Dell India know - I'm surrounded my E6220s in docking ports. That's one of the things that MAKES a Latitude - the docking port!

I am yet to see any Dell, out of many dozens ordered, come with a Mini PCIe SSD. When I ordered some with a minicard it was in an adapter to go in a regular 2.5" bay!

    I have the 3-cell battery. I get about 3 hours. I'd like another 3. I can get:

    1. Slice.
    2. Another 3-cell.
    3. 6-cell.
    4. A 9-cell. 87whr.

I can get the 9-cell for about the same price as the 6-cell. However, will it stick out too much?
