    Just looked at dell.de

They are there. Should be updated on other dell pages soon, too.

Just wanted to let you know :)

Kinda pricey though... (note: prices are WITHOUT tax until you add to the shipping cart)

You think those prices are high, the e6400 starts at $2597 here in Canada.

    Available on US as well:
    E4200: http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/laptop_latitude_e4200?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd
    E4300: http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/laptop_latitude_e4300?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd
Quite step pricing, especialy the e4300 w/o SSD.

Looking at various regional Dell sites you can see they have some weird configuration choices - (like WWAN or fingerprint), but US sites seem ok.
Edit: E4300 seems to have some of those as well (WWAN or webcam).

Anyone know what SSDs Dell packs in the E4200?
Dell Poland fro example shows only Ultra Performance models (both 64 and 128 GB). Germany has 32-64-128 options, all of them Ultra Performance...

I'm going to have to find my post where I predicted the high price on the E4200, and no one wanted to believe me.

$1750 starting price for an extremely bare bones system...so much for the sub $1300 price point people were wishing for...

Do they really think they've priced these competitively?

Oh well, those prices pretty much end consideration of these models for me. Cost more than a Thinkpad x200!

Don't worry - Let's just wait for Dell Deal Days! :)

Seriously though, these prices are a bit on the high side, but like the rest of the e-series, I'm sure they'll come down within a matter of weeks, not months.

I guess that's temporary, at least for the E4300. In Germany it has a 150 USD lower price then in the US (and that is including the 19% MwSt.)
E4200 is going to stay high because of the SSD drive, but will likely get some instant discounts like the rest of the series.
