is the u330 not a goot 13" montevina laptop to you? the laptop in my signature was only $900 shipped....beat that and i'll give you $500 since you won't find one near with the same specs for less then 1500

the only thing the Z has over the u330 is a bit lighter....they are roughly the same thickness, both have hdmi, the u330 has a better video card, and a more stable one, the u330 also has a fast ddr3 memory being 1066mhz compared to 800mhz, both LED screen, however the Z does have a higher resolution screen

and the Z is what? $1800 to start?

i would pay a few hundred more for the look of the Z and 8 or so ounces lighter....but 900 more for slower memory, and just a tiny bit lighter and a higher screen resolution just isn't worth it.

the e4300 isn't even close to on par with the Z in terms of specs/price ratio, and thats just sad

How can you tell the speed of the Z's memory? The specs on Sonystyle just say "Up to 4GB DDR3 SDRAM".

Y'all who are complaining about the lack of a video card in a business laptop are really missing the point. They're for work, not play. They're for those who want battery life, not gaming. Build quality, not bells and whistles.

I bought my T60 with a video card, and have always wished I had gotten integrated video.

Now, if you'd stop wasting your time playing pointless games, maybe you could get an education and a good job... and then you wouldn't have to complain about the price. Voila! ;-)

    Cheers!

The Z actually weighs a little bit less than 1.50Kg including 6 cell battery. That will be 250-300 grams lighter than the E4300.

Here's what Z owners think of their keyboard, after using it for some time: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=300192

You also forget that the Z is made of carbon fiber and aluminum - pretty premium materials that will jack the price up....

Right, that makes it even stranger that US prices of the Z are a bit lower than E4300.
