Like I said, if a system arrives with a plethora of problems and issues, it goes back asap for a complete exchange or refund.

What you don't want to do is hang onto it, for any reason, pass the authorized return window.

I just hate feeling like I'm making the issues more than they are, like I'm trying to take advantage of the issues to get something I don't deserve. But the truth is this system does have enough issues to merit replacement, so I should stop feeling bad about it.

While consumers can and will make mountains out of mole hills to get the proverbial hook up, recognizing when a company hasn't delivered as promised and asking to be taken care of as a paying consumer is more than right.

I've dealt with enough issues with enough companies that when they are cutting into your one thing that can't be replaced, time, you have more than a right to pursue what is due to you to rectify the situation.

Look at it like this: You have a finite amount of time on this planet. When someone or thing causes you to waste portions of that time due to error on their end, you are due compensation in at the least them providing what was originally promised and sometimes more.

    But that's just how I roll. ;)

Anyone know of the 20% off coupons for Dell Outlet? What are they valid on?

I'm waiting for my outlet E6500 to arrive and wonder what kind of warranty you all got with your purchase.
I have the 3 year mail in one (the included in the price option).
If there is something wrong with the system within the first 21 days, will I have to pay for any shipping costs involved? Or is that covered by Dell?

Are you sure it's mail-in? As far as I know, most business class refurbs come with 3 years NBD onsite service by default...

Edit: Just checked, I see you're right, it's Mail-In. From their "Learn More" link: "Dell will provide you with pre-paid shipping materials to ship your system to our service facility. Then we'll repair it and mail it back to you." So it looks like you don't have to pay to send it in.

    Thanks!
Where exactly did you find that "Learn more" link, because all I saw was info with the customer responsible for all shipping/insurance back and forth.

I went to the Outlet and added a random Latitude E6500 to my cart. On the upgrades screen, on the top right of the warranty block, is the "Learn More" link. There should be a similar link on each block on the page to help you decide which option is best. I'm not sure if there's an easier way to get to that information, but there really should be :/

You then have to go the the second tab and click the appropriate Latitude w/without ProSupport link.
