Does anyone else have problems with their ambient light sensor? I cannot enable mine.

Yeah, I wasn't able to enable mine. I tried just to see how it worked, but it would automatically switch back to disabled...weird.

    Hi there,

I recently received my D630 and in general I am very happy with it. I do have one question though. I was specifically looking for a system with an Intel Turbo Memory card and the salesperson assured me that one is included in all D630 systems. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear to be the case. I tried running the Intel driver installer (from the D630 support page) and it reported that “the computer does not meet the minimum requirements”. The BIOS also has no mention of it. It has an entry for “flash module” but indicates that it is not present.

    Have I been had?

    Cheers,
    Kenny

Sorry, but the answer is yes. The D630 does have an optional hybrid hard drive, but it does not come with Turbo memory. The good news is it can be installed latter. The D630 does have a slot that will support a Turbo Memory card.

I just started to go through this thread, having received my D630 just a couple days ago. Much has definitely changed from the days of the D600, and the screen on this thing is indeed fantastic. Clean and bright, and the non-gloss finish makes it a winner, even in shaded outdoor light.

I now have more reason than ever to work from home :)

Is this the same as ReadyBoost enabling on flash drives?
