I recently updated my aging E6410 with a 6430u. While I love this machine, I cannot get used to the chicklet style keyboard. I have been using it daily for more than 2 months. Everything else has been stellar. As soon as they launch the E6440 I will be first in line, and will then shortly have the 6430u on ebay even though this is one solid machine.

It should be. They usually have the same hardware in the same series thus making it easier to create and maintain an image for corporate users. So if 6540 has Radeon 8790M, then there is 99% chance the 6440 will also have 8790M as the optional discrete graphics.

When will the 6440 be revealed? What about the ATG and XFR line? Another 6 month of wait on those?

Them colors was ugly and cheesy looking. You're right, and more muted color would have been better selling. I still think no choice is makes it easier for businesses to order...reduces conflicts like "Hey, I wanted the red one :-("

I've asked different Dell reps, but of course no one knows or is telling...any idea of when the E6530 will be custom configurable, i.e. different hard drives, maybe 802.11ac WiFi? Also, any idea on an E5540 launch date?

Just a bar to highlight when the new product lines take over from the old.
