    Just like to report some 3dmark06 scores (Core/Memory Clock),

    400/500 - 1520
    423/555 - 1576
    449/601 - 1694
    470/638 - 1746
    500/700 - 1854

    This was with 169.09 drivers, which IMO are the best drivers for 8400M GS. What are some other people's scores at 500/700 clocks?

    SmoothTofu, can you please report the screen resolution in 3DMark06 as well? The scores are highly dependent on that. I have a 1680x1050 screen and 3DMark06 runs at 1280x1024 resolution. But if you have a 1280x800 screen (WXGA in your signature), 3DMark06 runs probably at 1024x768 and the score will be different.

    Yes, my screen is WXGA, but in 3dmark it also runs at 1280x800, not 1024x768.

    Update: I got 2053 @ 600/750 clocks.

    Another question concerning the use of Nibitor. Has somebody already tried to use lower voltages with Nvidias 8400M GS? Especially in 2D/Desktop-Sessions this could make sense (Lower temperature, Longer accu-time).

    My default voltages were

    3D -> 1.15v
    Thrtl -> 1.15v
    2D -> 1.15 v

    I changed as

    3D -> 1.2v
    Thrtl -> 1.15v
    2D -> 1v

    and also overclocked at 3D to

    Core/Shader/Memory -> 650/1300/550

    Everything works fine here!

    But be careful with 2D voltage it can easily make your system non-functional !!! Learn how to recover the bios before doing this. There is a thread for this on this site.

    You can eliminate the upper limit of GPU frequency in the "Power User" settings of Rivatuner. See here
