    Please read my post thoroughly... I'm not referring to the GPU temp, Memory temp, or CPU temp. I'm talking about the chipset temp peaking at 96c. Can anyone confirm as to whether this is bad or not? Thanks.

    =)

    Dude you guys should be grateful that you can overclock so high on your vostro 1400's....and you still want to go over 750 mem clock??? jeeezzz...

    On the vostro 1500 it peeks at like 530.
    THe highest I've gotten so far on the new 167.26 is 655/520
    with a 3dMark05 score of 3844. The new driver is SWEET,
    but you guys are spoiled. If only I had known that vostro1400 was
    better before i bought the 1500 = (

    If you are reading I8KFANGUI I am pretty sure what's labled as chipset is really the GPU temp... I say that because test that should test the GPU send the chipset number through the roof while the "GPU" number does almost nohting...

    Yes the Vostro 1400 comes with IR by default even if you do not buy the Dell IR travel remote.

    I am quoting my previous post on page 28 here. Since then, I have upgraded to 167.26 drivers.
    _______________
    The followings are 3DMark06 benchmarks with default 101.38 driver from Dell and 163.71 driver.

    101.38 default clocks -> 1106
    101.38 overclocked -> 1452
    163.71 default clocks -> 1365
    163.71 overclocked -> 1815

    Maximum GPU core temperature was 62C while running 3DMark06 test with 163.71 driver when overclocked. I used Speedfan 4.33 and Atitool to measure the temperatures; they both gave the same temperature.

    I was playing Bioshock at med settings with the new 167.26 driver and it crashed. I got an error saying the driver was no longer functioning properly...has anyone got this before?

    mrg666, when you overclock your card too much, what happens? Do your games crash? What error msgs do you get? I want to know if my Bioshock crashing is due to unstable drivers or too much overclocking. My temps peak at like 72.

    So what is the latest 8400gs Vostro 1400 driver that also supports overclocking?
