    @ Maddog99
I installed 2 hotfixes to get XP to recognise SD cards over 4GB and for it to use the SDHC types. I use a Kingston 8GB SDHC with no problems at all, but it takes REALLY LONG to transfer data to it, about 40 mins for 4GB if my memory serves me right.

The hotfixes are: KB923293 and KB934428 (I have tried to attach them to this post for you)

    Veni :)

as long as you're sure it's for that exact model it shouldn't be a problem.
To be honest though..unless you're experiencing any SSD issues I'd leave well alone.

The music distortion is caused by Dell ControlPoint software. At least that was the culprit for me. Once I got rid of Dell ControlPoint, I don't get the video and audio glitches at startup.

I had something similar within 2 months of supply, it progressed to a distorted image when running the OS.
Contact support and report the issue I got a new screen, I,ve had it for 7 months now with no problems. (NonCovet RGB LED)

Thanks. Do you have some problems with yours? There are three reviews on the Dell's site mentioning heat problems and chargers dying out after a short while.

I'm the same about 'recommended' updates and usually avoid them but in my continuing exploration of SSDs and some of the stuff I read in either the link you provided or another post from the same site and have heard everything from "you have to send it back to Samsung for firmware updates" to "buy anything except Samsung, their controllers are trash". That's not been my experience at all and just trying to separate myth from fact with SSDs a chore. Thanks tho.

Not hardly, but I think thanks. I just had a poster tell me I was 'mean' for suggesting the half sentence post that related to nothing I could find was, and I put it as gently as possible "stupid". As a 'brutally frank' type I was oddly disturbed at being called 'mean'. Brutal and "a disgrace to humanity' I'm used too and can take but that 'mean' remark upset me. Because when I'm really 'mean' there's usually no one left to remark on it. Oh well, maybe I'll get the Nobel Peace Prize now that I've earned it.
