I can confirm the same situation here in Italy. Till today the IPS screen was unavailable. This morning I completed my order with it and now is in pre-production.
I've ordered my M4600 through the university and I hope that the production time will be "normal"...

To Archmark - MAXIMUM SOLIDARITY :(

So, for M4600 memory upgrades, which route should I take PC3-10600 or PC3-10666? What did you guys do? Are the both compatible?

There's really no perceivable performance difference, I am more interested in compatibility with an i7-2820QM build and also compatibility with whatever junk RAM Dell throws in there for the default 4 GB that comes standard, so that I can go to 12 GB with an 8 GB upgrade. Speaking of which, is the included RAM 10600 or 10666?

Hasn't anyone upgraded the RAM on their M4600? PC3-10600 or PC3-10666, which did it come with?

    Thanks

I am configuring an m4600 and I am thinking about adding an internal mobile broadband card with gps. Does anyone have feedback on tracking the laptop through gps or your broadband carrier in the event that the laptop is stolen. I looked into lojack and several other software applications but it seems they can take several days/weeks to track down and some are only offered through apple. I was hoping to find something where if the laptop went missing I could get on another computer and find out exactly where it is on a map through the gps and broadband carrier.
    Thanks,

in Austria no IPS display available. :( And it seems impossible to get accurate info about it.

All i know is data from website - no info about quality for standard sRGB action... No possibility to see it live... :( What should I do after buying / ordering if i dislike possible over-saturation in standard use?

There is a special Dell software for the display - what is possible, how accurate?

I know from other threads how many users were plagued by too strong saturation with wide gamut displays in different laptops. With my desktop monitor at home - no problem! :D It's hardware configurable...

Maybe some owner allready has IPS display and has profiling equipment and can report about ...?

    Thanks, Dell-Mano_G
IPS display is back on UK website.
I will still wait for professional review, though.
