Yeah the Zeroshock III 15,4 fits perfect!! Looked for ages for something that would actually provide protection. Neoprene sleeves don't do anything.

The black cover looks great!! Maybe i'll get one on my new laptop ;)

Hahaha...it's actually really funny that he managed to get the black lid the way he did.

The description on the site (UK aswell as rest of europe and US) has always been the same. The black finish describes the color of the notebook...not the lid..LOL...the rep you called probably just didn't know the details and assumed you were right. Good too know it fits though :D

well according to more than one source they do black lids and there is part number for black lids as well according to the dell support person i spoke to. I saw the actual box as well that the engineer came with! so i would say 3 things:
    1) buy as a small business and get the 3 yr pro business support

2)whenyou are order ask the salesperson on the phone to verify that its black top lid

    3) If you get a silver rippled one then ring up dell business support asap and ask for that black lid as stated in the proforma invoice!

    easy as 1,2,3!

    :) :D

Hi Again Ful66, I'm actualy in the US. Hopefully they will be able to offer the same cover. I guess you just proved to me that its exactly the same cover as the Latitude, so there is no physical/structural reason why they can't do it. So hopefully when the RGB LED screen is out I will order and let everyone know if Dell can/will do the same in the US. Cool thanks

I see...my invoice didn't mention the color of the lid....just that it was the lid for the 2CCFL WUXGA screen. But yeah, good to know they're the same fit....who knows i'll replace my screen with an RGB LED with black cover when they become available as aftermarket upgrade.

I do actually quite like the grey wavey lid :D

Would anyone who has the m4400 with the WXGA+ LED screen please tell me if the screen is glossy or matte? It looks matte in the pictures but I would like to know either way before ordering it.
    Thanks!

    It's matte.

FX770M Update: Broke 7000 in 3DMark06 using an nTune overclock! That's a 16.67% increase from the 6023 it had. Temps on Half-Life 2 are about 67C - 74C w/ the game's FPS and every graphics settings on maximum already. I think I can push it to 750/1050 but I doubt itll do anything but heat up the system. I havent tested Crysis WH but that game pretty much makes the system jump to 85C on a 600/900 OC and I dont know if pushing that temperature is safe.
