Hi I am new to the forum and want to ask if anyone has bought a laptop sleeve yet for their Precision M4400. I have the black alloy lid finish (yes it does exist!) which is really nice but probably prone to scracthes in transit! Do any of you M440 owners have a padded laptop sleeve that they can recommend? BTW I really like the M4400, it feels solid and as of yet not had any issues with it at all when using Photoshop and other CPU/GPU intensive applications. Not tried games yet!
thanks in advance for any help or info

    Hey there.

Best laptop sleeve i could find is the Zeroshock III. Look for a review in this forum to get an idea. They're pretty cheap even on ebay.

Btw....i'm getting a full system swap due to the chassis damage and planned mobo replacement. Tech guy agreed that it was way too much hassle going through all that and called Dell to tell them they needed to send me a new lappy :D Good stuff, great service.

Hi, Ful66 could you please post a pic of your black cover. It sounds like a nice option. Is this something you ordered through dell or bough after market?

hi heres a pic of the cover. originally i ordered black but the m4400 came with the silver rippled one. I rang up Dell Support and next day they came out and replaced it with apologies! hope the pic gives you an idea of colour.Very similar to the latitude covers.

Thanks LPTP-LVR for your feedback on the zeroshock sleeves. i presume the M4400 fit nice and snug? cheers again

    BOSSMAN428MAN:

no worries..i ordered it over the phone whilst going through the spec with the salesperson. i rang from the UK.are you in the uk? like i say i saw on dell uk that black was the only option. I was assured by the salesperson that it was black. however when it arrived (superquick hey...the same week i ordered it, it was delivered!) I found it had a silver lid. Dell support happened to ring me out of the blue to see if everything was ok and if i had received the laptop and i explained. Thats when a technician came out the next day. I bought as a small business, which is part of the home department of dell. I must say that dell have really sorted out their reputation. Their support and service have improved loads compared to years ago. i would definitely recommend you get 3 yrs pro user warranty as it gives you the edge on receiving top end support.
hope this helps...oh and BTW haggle hey as you can get a couple hundred knocked off original price!
