Does anyone know if the Secondary HDD from a Dell M65 works in the new M4400? From the pictures I've seen the two looks identical.
One more: Does anyone have one of the WUXGA RGBLED screen? How is it?

No its not the same, new model is slimmer, plus only accepts 1.8'' hard drives.

We haven't heard of anybody with the RGBLED yet.

Can somebody who has already spent some time with his M4400 please comment on heat and noise? I didn't mean to crosspost, so answers please in my dedicated thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=311654.

I thought this may be a concern for others as well and this is the best place to ask for, audience-wise. So it would be nice to hear some opinions to make an informed decision in this regard.

Anyone having a lockup problem with the M4400? We just got 3 new M4400s, 8gb RAM with Vista 64 and they are hard-freezing 3 or 4 times per day. No warning, no errors, nothing in event viewer, just a hard lock that requires a power cycle. We're about to send them back to Dell because it's seriously affecting our productivity, we're modeling virtual server environments and we can't have the systems locking up halfway through a VM build. Any help would be appreciated....we've done all the Dell diagnostics, reinstalled Vista both from the recovery partition and fresh from the DVD and it still happens. Driving me nuts!!!

Who was that directed at? We have the Dell supplied Intel Matrix driver installed, is there a specific reason to install the Intel direct version?

No, I just saw that you said you reformatted the computers. If it also does that when using recovery disks then I don't know what to tell you.

The one direct from Intel is newer.

My M4400 was supposed to ship today...nope. Dell says it's been "back ordered" and the new estimated ship date is Oct 27. They better be putting a cold fusion reactor or something revolutionary on it!
