    Hi everyone...

    i'm looking for this laptop or his brother , the m6400...

    i'm looking for a configuration like this

    -RGB LED monitor 1920-1200
    -T9550 or T9600
    -2x2Gb Ram
    -320gb 7200rpm disk
    -Quadro 770


    the battery how long work ??

    it's a good pc for 3d rendering and photo work ??

    the m4400 will do on average 3.5hrs on a decent load. if you set it to max power saving it can go slightly more than 4.5hrs

    Did anyone apply the "copper mod " of the XPS 1330 to the Precision M4400?. Does it help to reduce temperature of the GPU?.

    you dont need a copper mod for the GPU. thermal paste is enough, for the GPU memory, you'll need a copper mod though. dont know if anyone has done it

    yea im running it now, seems better than A14. fan goes fast only when needed. and generally the notebook is running cooler since the fan runs at low more of the time, and only goes to medium/high rarely

    Yes, I've done a copper mod for the GPU (because the GPU surface does not fit flush with the heatsink surface).
    I've also done a copper mod for the chipset.
    Both work well, my load temperatures went down drastically.

    Interesting. What are the dimensions of the pieces of copper you used?.

    are you sure about the GPU copper mod? there dosent seem to be any space for a shim to fit in
