Just ordered my m4400 from the dell outlet @ 1249 I managed to get a 2.9ghz processor, led 1900x1200 screen, and 4gb ram. Pretty happy and waiting desperately to get it.

And strangely enough the Bluetooth 370 chip wigged out last night. Windows will only see it as a generic bluetooth device, and whenever I try to load any drivers for it, the installer keeps telling me to turn it on.

    I think it died :(

sigh. i cant wait till i can afford an SSD lol. Gonna have to be content with the 7200rpm samsung mine came with for now.

sounds like a tasty upgrade in a year or two, an SSD and a bump up to a QX9300 or whatever is the fastest quadcore the system can support

I ordered my m4400 on July 29th. I want it so bad. It's been delayed to the 18th of August and now the 25th of August. Urg. If It has one more delay I'm going to be so fed up with them.

    1. Does anyone recommend those 15-20 dollar fan things that go underneath the laptop?

    2. If I install Windows 7 RTM Ultimate 64 bit (totally format my drive) will it be possible to totally install Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit after like 2 months? With only the discs that dell gives you?

    Hi guys

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I just saw http://support.dell.com/ now has Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit) listed in the drivers section for the M4400. So far they're mostly just previously issued updates, but it's good to know they're certified as compatible with Windows 7.

    Kind regards,
