Haven't had any issues w/ my 4400 doing that. I've run mine pretty hard using a 90W adapter w/o any shortage (the one that shipped w/ it was 130W).

    Welcome to the club!

Yes, you and everyone else. You'll find tons of posts complaining about it. I even devoted an entire section to the touchpad in my M4400 review.

Cliff Notes: the touchpad sucks, and there's nothing that can be done about it.

Disabled here too, yet the problem remains. It's not really lag; the touchpad simply suddenly tracks very slowly, or not at all, apparently at random.

It's not the drivers; the touchpad has the same problem with a clean Windows install.

I agree, the touchpad is definitely quirky. I have learned to deal with it. Still, you would think that a laptop in this class would have a touchpad as good as a netbook's at least.

I have the same problem. Toshiba drivers and disabling touch-check along with tapping seems to solve most of it, but the pad will still act funny from time to time.

My touchpad is also slow and track my finger with delay (lag). But what I found interesting is that there is no lag when I am using touchpad in BIOS. So it seems that it is driver issue more then hardware.
